Sunquest Information Systems has announced the names of two new members of its executive leadership team, increasing its focus on delivering solutions to improve the strategic role of the laboratory in patient-centric care delivery models.
Jonathon Pierson will serve as vice president of Sunquest's Solution Adoption Center of Excellence and will be responsible for delivering world-class implementation and consulting services for Sunquest's global suite of products. Pierson joins Sunquest from MedAssets' Implementation Services Team, where he served as vice president. Prior to MedAssets, his career included systems design and implementation management roles at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), and leadership roles at international recovery audit firm, PRG-Schultz. Pierson earned a BS in business administration from Louisiana State University.
Keith Laughman also joins the Sunquest leadership team, serving as executive vice president of Community Care Solutions, where he will focus on strategic growth areas for Sunquest including ACOs, outreach and patient-centric care. Most recently Laughman was president and CEO of MedFusion. Prior to MedFusion, his career included executive level roles at Mayo Medical Laboratories and also at Specialty Labs. Laughman earned a BS in biological sciences from Kansas State University, as well as an MBA from Winona State University, Minn., and a health services, business administration doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
